Achievement (2012-13)

  • About 1600+500 (In service) trainees have been passed out and all of them secured employment in their ITDA areas
  • Organised inservice orientation programmes/ work shops to the teachers working at ITDA schools to improve their professional efficiency
  • The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi sanctioned a programme study center for B.Ed.(DM) w.e.f., January, 2006.
  • The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh selected the college for Spl. D.Ed. programme for untrained GVVK/GPS teachers 2007(Summer-2007) and achieved 100% results in Govt. exams
  • All the B.Ed. trainees have to adopt selected tribal habitations for literary & community development projects.
  • The vice chancellor of KakatiyaUniversity, Warangal has exempted college from processing fee @200/- each payable by the B.Ed. trainee every year
  • Free coaching camps being organised at the college for tribal students

             a)    DIET- CET-2005- April,2005- 3 tribal students secured state ranks and free seats at Govt. DIETs Khammam, Warangal,


             b)    Ed. CET- 2005- October,2005 – all the participated tribal students (43) qualified in the Ed.CET and 10 of them secured

                     state ranks and free seats

  • The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, KakatiyaUniversity, Warangal accorded permanent affiliation to the B.Ed. programme w.e.f., 2005-2006
  • The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh has sanction Rs.71 lakhs for additional building construction and  the then Dist. Collector & Chairman, ITDA visited the college appreciated and sanctioned 81 lakhs for additional building construction.
  • The Hon`ble MP of Bhadrachalam,  Dr. M. Babu Rao visited the college and expressed his satisfaction and sanctioned 0.50 lakhs for the library.
  •  The Hon`ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy appreciated the college for participation in social activities.
  • The Govt. of AP and NCTE(SRC), Bangalore has sanctioned 200 seats from the academic year 2009-10.

The special college has been established to meet the special needs of the indigenous people i.e. scheduled tribes of agency area.  In this direction the college is striving to promote quality education and empower the tribal students to disseminate education in far flung and remote areas. Since its inception 13 academic years passed out by providing B.Ed. training about 1600+500 (Distance Mode of SDLCE and IGNOU) trainees. All the tribal trainees trained at the college have almost secured employment in their respective agency areas of Andhra Pradesh.
